The food here is RIDICULOUSLY good, and it’s all cooked from scratch! Usually at pubs you end up with frozen food thrown in the microwave but not here. The food is fresh and everything on the menus is worth trying. They have some of the best local beers on rotation on tap as well. If you haven’t been here, it is worth the trip. I myself will be coming back as much as possible. Genuinely one of the best places to eat in Elgin, and the prices can’t be beat!

I got fish tacos, they came out super cold, I should have taken a picture one of the tacos barely had fish on it. I did let the waitress know I did not want it anymore so i ordered wings, the wings were burnt. Overall very disappointed with food quality, i remember when the food was good here. And on top I still was charged for the fish tacos.

I googled best burgers near Elgin and Elgin Public House came up first. Went to their website and said that burger looks amazing , let’s give it a go. Nice place, great atmosphere, selection on menu look good It was NOT as advertised!!! I’ll show pics of what I thought I went for and what I got! I ordered a burger medium rare , with bacon , egg, and cheese on a pretzel bun My friend ordered same on a brioche bun He received his on a pretzel , not on brioche as requested , he was starving so he ate it , because he didn’t want to wait like me who received a plain over cooked burger. I called the waitress over and she said I got the wrong plate , after a few minutes , brought back the same exact plate , but added bacon , egg , and cheese. I ordered my fries crispy , they were soggy and cold , because they didn’t redo my plate, so they sat as they added the good to my burger. My burger was well done , not medium rare and the meat didn’t have much flavor. The bacon was good and without it , would have been completely bland. I didn’t say anything , my fault , but the waitress got busy and honestly didn’t want to wait any longer to have another burger cooked. See pictures and from websit

Well, it wasnt at all busy when we first came in but we did have to wait 15 minutes just to have our drink orders taken an additional 5 till we finally started getting our appetizer we ordered. Mind you the appetizer came first before our drinks, and this was going to be a bad review but the saving grace itself was the food! The reuben sandwhich was THICK and it was HOT like HOTHOT on good thick marble rye and it paired well with the dreaming tree chardonnay! I got the mac and cheese topped with pork belly and mushroom and they sautéed the mushrooms to perfection and that pork belly was INCREDIBLE! The meat was very well seasoned, which I think the chef did on purpose to showcase the flavors which, he defenitely nailed! I got the mac and cheese paired with the Washington mule and it was delicious! Pictures did not do justice to the flavors! Thank you chef!

Stopped here on the way from WI to Chicago food was amazing! Highly recommend the fried pickles (best I've ever had) and the build your own Burger and Haystack were delicious. Service was fast and very attentive. Would definitely come back!
